Afford Health Care actively looks for ways and means to facilitate people living with disabilities in their NDIS daily activities as much as possible. The shared living service is also an outcome of this vision. It is also known as shared accommodation.
In a Shared Living service, the assistant or the support staff either stays with the person or within close proximity such as a nearby building within quick access and attends to the person whenever needed in personal activities of daily living. This way, the participant does not feel that they are completely dependent on another individual.
Shared Living Service encourages participants to exercise more choice and control, with an improved daily living NDIS.
